Calculate Parlay Odds

A parlay calculator is also known as an accumulator in the United Kingdom. Parlay refers to a single bet whose actual value is determined by two or more concealed bets. What it does to achieve that outcome is it links two or more individual wagers together for a much higher parlay payout. The chances of higher payouts go up when players start to link more bets and teams together. However, risks also go up simultaneously for if even one team loses, then the entire parlay is lost.

In the years before the invention of a parlay calculator players had to rely on bookies of different street corners. The work that the bookies did is now being done by faster, more accurate, and more efficient parlay calculators which calculate payouts and premiums at a much quicker pace and accept even decimal odds.

How to Use a Parlay Calculator

A parlay is a single bet that multiplies two or more individual odds from multiple events for a much higher overall payout. In order for the parlay to win, each game must win or push (tie). If any of the games lose, the entire bet loses. Usually you lose, but when you win, and depending in part on how many events were parlayed, you can win big. To use this calculator, enter a bet amount and the odds on every leg of the parlay, up to 12 legs. For even money, put in 100 or -100. Do not enter anything other than numbers, including the dollar sign. How parlay odds are calculated Calculating parlay odds is simple when using decimal odds: Simply multiply the odds from each leg together to get the parlay odds. But it gets a little trickier if. The parlay calculator accepts US or decimal odds, so you could enter -110 or 1.91, for example. Make sure you enter the minus sign if there are negative odds in a US format.

True Odds Parlay Calculator

To use a parlay odds calculator all one needs to do is put in their money line odds of the game they are going for and follow these steps:

  • The odds calculator can be found under the box labelled “Odds”. Opting for a favourite team, the money line must be entered with a (-) symbol. Almost all parlay calculators have a maximum of-110 money line odds.
  • If the player is not opting for a favourite team, then logic dictates the (+) be used, but that is not necessary. In the parlay world, all teams other than favourite ones are known as ‘Underdogs’.
  • After inputting all the bets in their respective boxes, the player has to put in the total amount wagered in the box labelled so and press on ‘Calculate’ for the betting odds calculator to jump into action.

Some calculators do not, however, compute decimal points so the terms and conditions should be given a thorough reading once. If any team withdraws from the parlay, then the bet switches to the lower number. For example, if the parlay started with 4 teams and any one team had to withdraw for whatever reason, then the total number of teams will automatically get reduced to 3.

It is important to keep one critical aspect into consideration. For the parlay bet to win every single bet or wager must win. If anyone wager loses, the entire parlay bet will be as good as lost. The risks here are indeed very high, but the rewards are even higher.

The total odds for a parlay is simply the product of the decimal prices for each market in the parlay:

(Price 1) * (Price 2) * ….. (Price n)
n = number of bets in the parlay

Example

If you were to have a three-team parlay with the prices 1.45, 1.20 and 1.55 the total odds for the parlay would be 1.45 * 1.20 * 1.55 = 2.70
